Wildlife and birding trips in the world's largest tropical wetland, guided by biologist Murilo Frasão.
I'm a biologist and nature guide in Brazil with over eight years of experience in ecotourism and wildlife conservation. I've been sharing my knowledge and love for nature with travelers in the Pantanal and Cerrado biomes: their jaguars, rivers, unique plants and birds.
My passion is to inspire people to protect the environment by experiencing a human connection with the wild.
I lead bush walks, game drives, canoe trips, and horseback or bicycle rides to explore the landscape and create lasting memories, with an educational approach. I tailor each trip to the activities you're most interested in.
Bird sounds of the Pantanal are my current expertise. Home to hundreds of species, this biome is a paradise for birdwatching. Some of my favorite moments are helping guests find the hard ones: a Great Potoo pretending to be a branch, a rarely spotted Cream-backed Woodpecker pecking holes high up in the trees, the almighty Black-banded Owl on the prowl at night, and the many small, tricky look-alikes like flycatchers, tanagers, antbirds and woodcreepers.
I care a lot about how we visit. I keep groups small, move at the animals' pace and leave each place the way we found it. The goal is to see this place at its most pristine and help keep it that way.
Off the trail you'll find me on a bicycle, digging for new music or doing other random outdoor activities.
